Yesterday was Saturday and prior to that, Friday. There have been many days between my last post and this one but without trying too make too many excuses, I had a baby and she loves to play and I prefer to play with T than sit behind a laptop screen.
Recently I played a show in Dorking with We Grow Beards, Great Cynics, Oliver John Ward and so many other amazing bands it was awesome, I had a blast and it was cool to introduce M to the DTP crew, as I think they are all awesome.
Oliver John Ward in Dorking.
Check out Olly's music, its really good. good honest gruff vocals over (originally) an acoustic guitar, but in Dorking he played with a full band, damn it was tight and mind blowingly good. seriously, go listen. http://www.oliverjohnward.co.uk
Im pretty sure somewhere along the line I've mentioned how awesome Great Cynics and WGB's are but check them out too.
Friday 1st July however Justin gave me to tickets to The Flaming Lips (playing Soft Bulletin) and Dinosaur Jr. (playing Bug) and Deerhoof (playing Milkman) We missed Deerhoof but Im not the biggest fan so I wasn't too upset, besides it was such a lovely day, the sun was out, we were stood on top of a big hill looking down on London, it was nice to be outside a bit longer.
Dinosaur Jr were cool, just as you expect, fuzzy, loud and good as. I didn't really get any photos of them but I didn't mind too much because we wondered around and people were dressed up as animals and superheroes so it was good to take it all in.
The Flaming Lips were great, Soft Bulletin is a really good album, especially live, we loved it. There was a lot of 'positive mental attitude' and a shit load of confetti. highlights included Waitin' For Superman, the massive confetti gun and the end and Slow motion, definetly Slow Motion, it just sounded lush.

Today we hung out with PJ & Gaby at Cally Festival, they are just too cool for school and super lovely as well. I hope everyone has friends like them because then everyone would just have an awesome time.
