16.2.11

Its been a while.

Its been over two months since I last updated this, slack maybe, but then again, I don't know if anybody actually reads this so I never know if I need to update it.

A lot has happened since I last posted on here. Marc got his fiancee visa and arrived in the UK on 30th December. We welcomed in the new year together, just like we wanted to.
I'm also a lot bigger with only 3 weeks left until my due date, full term.
Everybody said "you'll get to 8 weeks to go and everything will slow down and it will seem like the longest wait until you meet your baby." I didn't believe them but it rings so true. I can't wait. I never thought I could be so excited about anything, but I am. Its great.
I am now a Mrs. Mrs Marc O'Brien. My mother made my dress, my Bolero, my hat and I entered the town hall overwhelmed by how beautiful my now husband and all our friends and family looked as they waited on my arrival.
When the ceremony began, I found it hard to hold back my tears. I reflected on all those hard moments and choices we've had to make and how strong we were and are - those next twenty minutes of my life, reciting words of love and friendship, sickness, health and strength in each other made so much sense. I didn't think I would be so emotional on my wedding day, but then I never thought I could be loved like this.
We laughed, we cried, we celebrated. We are happy. Very happy.

We went to Bath for our honeymoon. We spoiled ourselves in the spa and relaxed taking in the beautiful sights of the city. I'm learning to swim. Marc is a water baby and I want our bubs to be comfortable in the water, not like myself who panics when the water hits my eyes or mouth. With the help of a float I managed 10 lengths of the pool, of that I am proud and unashamed to say that I need a child's kick board to help me get there.
The winter has seemed to last forever. I forget how the sun came change this island of ours. Bath is a beautiful city.

Hi! I've been checking in on you ever couple of weeks. I don't remember how I first found your blog - no doubt a google search - but your story compelled me to come back. I'm so glad you and your husband can be together! Congratulations on your lovely wedding and best of luck as your little one arrives!
